About the Ficus, Rubber Plant, Fiddleleaf Fig

This is a huge tropical plant family consisting of numerous trees, shrubs and vines, including the edible fig. Ficus benjamina is the most common tree form with spreading, slightly drooping branches covered with 2-4″ leathery, oval, often variegated leaves. The Rubber Plant (F. elastica) is one of the easiest varieties to grow with glossy, thick, oval leaves measuring up to 15″ long in dark bronze, tricolor, and green with yellow markings and a bush-like habit. Fiddle-leaf Fig is very popular with its bold, fiddle shaped leaves, making an attractive specimen in a bright living room or office. These plants can be grown indoors year round, or outdoors for the summer and brought back inside for the winter. Shop Ficus varieties available now.
