That’s because ninety-five percent of the plants we sell in Petitti Garden Centers we also grow right here in Northeast Ohio. Our unique position as both a grower and retailer is both rare in the independent garden center industry and greatly contributes to our success in ensuring quality, climate hardiness, availability, and service.

Petitti production facilities include our 32-acre Casa Verde greenhouses in Columbia Station, Ohio and 1,300 acres of nursery farmland in Madison, Ohio. Our selection of Annuals, Perennials, and Indoor Plants are grown at Casa Verde while our selection of Trees and Shrubs are grown at our Willowbend and Ridge Manor nurseries in Lake County.

Customers are encouraged to return used Petitti pots and flats for recycling. Designated recycling bins are set up at all 9 locations for convenient drop-off.

ENERGY MANAGEMENT

Our Casa Verde greenhouse facility in Columbia Station, OH utilizes a super high-efficiency biomass furnace fueled by waste wood chips that would otherwise be discarded in a landfill. This practice reduces dependency on non-renewable fuel sources, produces low carbon emissions, and uses the remaining ash for agricultural soil enrichment.

We rely heavily on natural rainwater collection and irrigation to water plants at our growing facilities. Furthermore, we implement capillary mats, drip irrigation, and flood floors in our greenhouses to maximize targeted application of our water resources. We make investments like this in our business to continually offer you the highest quality plants at the lowest cost and environmental impact.
