'Gardening With Angelo' Radio Show • August 22, 2022

Harvesting & Maintaining Herbs

Radio Show Recap

We’ve been a little on the dry side but the weather this August has been beautiful! This week, Angelo talks about proper watering practices for the lawn and garden. He also talks about maintaining and harvesting herbs so they’ll last well into fall and he gives advice for late-summer lawn care and weed control. This is the time of year to divide hostas, daylilies, and Iris and Angelo explains the best way to transplant these perennial favorites! Now is also the time to plant fall Mums in order to help them perennialize and come back for you next year. Angelo also answers callers’ questions like “my peaches had brown spots and rotted before I could harvest them, what happened”, and “How do I winterize my Anabelle hydrangea”?
