About the Tickseed, Coreopsis

Dependable, one of the best pollinator attractants and repeat blooming performers in a sunny perennial garden. Easy to grow, clump forming perennials produce small to medium size, daisy-like flowers in various shades of yellow, orange, red, pink, bicolor, and mottled. Foliage is bushy to basal, medium green and can be fine, cut-leaf (Tickseed), or lobed and oblong. ‘Moonbeam’ is one of Angelo’s favorites providing a soft, airy texture that is quite bushy combining nicely in a sunny landscape. Care Notes

Plant in well-drained to dry, nutrient rich soil amended with organic matter like Petitti Planting Mix. Water well after planting; maintain 1” of water, once a week the first year. Use Plant-tone and Iron-tone in spring or at planting; apply Osmocote in summer after deadheading or shearing to encourage new blooms. Mulch 1-2” to suppress weeds and retain soil moisture. Divide in spring or fall when necessary. Propagation prohibited.
