Look for ‘Bright Lights’, an exceptional edible, but also extremely ornamental! ‘Bright Lights’ is easy to grow in containers and the garden producing Day-Glo stems of yellow, pink, orange, red and striped topped by glossy, slightly wrinkled bronze to deep green tender foliage. An AAS winner for excellent, mild taste, vigorous growth and beauty. Use fresh in salads or sautéed in pasta for a marvelous presentation. Cut stems 2″ from the crown to harvest and to produce more. Maturity: 30-60 days

Plant in sunny, well-drained, nutrient rich soil or containers amended with organic matter like Petitti Planting Mix. Water well after planting; maintain 1” of water once a week throughout the growing season. Feed with a slow release fertilizer, Osmocote® or Garden-tone®. Follow label instructions. Mulch 2″ to suppress weeds, retain moisture and protect against extremes of soil temperature.
