About the Shasta Daisy

Classic, white petaled, sunny yellow centered daisies with a variety of sizes, petal types, and habits. Some are petite, compact growers, others are tall, sturdy stemmed made for cutting gardens. Newer varieties are bred for outstanding weather tolerance, repeat, superior blooming performance and all around easy maintenance. Used best in the front perennial border or with other butterfly attractants. View our selection of varieties available online and in stores.

Care Notes

Plant in well-drained, nutrient rich soil amended with organic matter like Petitti Planting Mix. Water well after planting; maintain 1” of water, once a week the first year. Use Plant-tone and Iron-tone in spring or at planting; apply Osmocote in summer after removing spent flower stems to lateral buds. Mulch 1-2” to suppress weeds and retain soil moisture. Divide in spring every other year.
