About the Sea Thrift

Spiky green, grass-like foliage produces sturdy little stalks tipped with a brilliant ball of rose-pink, pastel pink and white flowers that are low maintenance, perfect in rock gardens, planted around the mail box or in sunny containers. Great planted around a mailbox, salt tolerant. Shop Sea Thrift varieties online in our Assorted Perennials section.

Care Notes

Plant in well-drained to dry, nutrient poor soil amended with organic matter like Petitti Planting Mix. Water well after planting; maintain 1” of water, once a week the first year. Use Plant-tone and Iron-tone in spring or at planting; apply Osmocote in summer. Remove spent flower stem to basal foliage to promote reblooming. Mulch 1-2” to suppress weeds and retain soil moisture. Divide in spring or fall when necessary.
