About the Hoya

Sometimes referred to as Wax Plant or Hindu Rope Plant, Hoyas are a fantastic, low-maintenance houseplant that offer unique foliage texture and variegation. These extremely slow-growing, vining plants grow best in bright, indirect sunlight. They can be trained up a trellis or moss pole, or their foliage can trail over the edges of containers. Hoyas prefer evenly moist to slightly dry soil and enjoy any extra humidity they can get, especially in drier winter months.

Considered non-toxic, dog & cat friendly plant according to ASPCA.org.

Care Notes

Grow in bright, indirect lighting on a north-facing window sill, or 5-6’ from a sunny window. Keep soil slightly dry, do not overwater. Supply extra humidity by setting on a shallow tray of moistened pebbles. Feed with a Osmocote or Espoma® Organic Indoor! once a month, April to September.
