About the Florist Hydrangea, Forced Hydrangea

These gorgeous, compact, mophead Hydrangeas with bright blue, pink and white blossoms are forced into flowering as a showy gift or centerpiece for the Easter holiday, and sometimes for Christmas. Unfortunately, these types of Hydrangeas are not particularly winter or cold hardy; they are meant to be enjoyed as a houseplant. View our online selection of Florist Hydrangeas available now.

Care Notes

Keep in a bright, but cool window and keep the soil evenly moist. Avoid hot and cold drafts. Fertilize with Osmocote spring and summer. The forced hydrangeas can stayed potted in their container and be cared for in part shade outdoors during the growing season. They are not cold hardy, so if planted outside, they will require extra winter protection, (burlap and mulch), to survive.
