Generous, sturdy spikes of pink, orange, yellow, lavender blue flowers are produced in abundance on this Mint family relative. Its aromatic, silvery blue to green foliage, repeat blooming flowers, and well-behaved, strong, upright habit is great for cutting, attracting pollinators, and repelling deer. Care Notes
Plant in well-drained to dry, nutrient rich soil amended with organic matter like Petitti Planting Mix. Water well after planting; maintain 1” of water, once a week the first year. Use Plant-tone and Iron-tone in spring or at planting; apply Osmocote in summer after deadheading spent flowers down to lateral buds. Mulch 1-2” to suppress weeds. Divide in spring or fall when necessary. Provide added winter protection, except for ‘Blue Fortune’. Propagation prohibited.
