The most sun-tolerant of all hydrangea types, Panicle Hydrangeas (Hydrangea paniculata) are low-maintenance, easy to grow, and incredibly showy bloomers. Available in both tree and shrub forms, they are versatile and reliable in the landscape. Flowers emerge creamy white to lime green, then gradually blush pink as they age through the season — some even deepening to a deep pink in fall.

Panicle hydrangeas are one of the easiest, most rewarding flowering shrubs to grow here in Northeast Ohio. They’re low-maintenance, reliable bloomers — and their blooms provide interest long after other aspects of the garden have faded. With a little extra deer protection and some proper pruning, these hydrangeas will provide show-stopping blooms year after year.
