A Container Made for Sun & Shade

recipe for success

Container gardens are as popular as ever because they make the work of gardening easy, and they allow for great control, flexibility, and fun. Dislike weeding? It’s unlikely weeds will find their way into your pots. Like to switch things up? You can change your entire look by swapping out one or more plants in a moment’s time. No space for a garden bed? Use container to grow on your balcony, patio, or anywhere you like.

Filler Plants

Three “filler” plants were chosen for their bushy, mounded habits and beautiful foliage and flower features.

SunPatiens® Compact Orchid Blush – SunPatiens® are known for their disease resistance and ability to bloom in both full-sun and full-shade conditions.  In this combination, they serve as the floriferous centerpiece amongst various foliage textures.

Diamond Frost® Euphorbia – The smallest of this Euphorbia series from Proven Winners, Diamond Frost® was chosen for its flowers, texture, and tendency to grow between other plants in the container.

Tradescantia ‘Purple Heart’Tradescantia is typically seen indoors as a houseplant, but it makes a great filler AND spiller in annual container gardens. The best part is, you can take it inside at the end of the season and winter it over indoors!
