About the Perennial English Ivy

A classic, well-known, perennial, evergreen ivy with glossy, dark green foliage highlighted with thin, white veins. It is an aggressive, vigorous grower covering slopes, walls and trellis. Grow in any sun exposure, but keep moist in full sun. Plant underneath trees, shrubs and established perennials.

Care Notes

Plant in well-drained to moist, nutrient rich soil amended with organic matter like Petitti Planting Mix. Water well after planting; maintain 1” of water, once a week the first year. Use Plant-tone and Iron-tone in spring or at planting; apply Osmocote in summer. Trim stems anytime for a neat appearance. Mulch 1-2” to suppress weeds and retain soil moisture. Divide in spring or fall when necessary.
