Video Recap
Seed starting is easy and fun for all ages! You can get a head start growing your own vegetables for your garden by starting inside during the winter. We recommend starting cold crops, such as onions, leaf lettuce, broccoli, brussels sprouts and some flowers at the end of February or beginning of March so that they are ready to plant in the garden in May. Watch this video with Noelle, Horticulturist and Education Director with Petitti Garden Centers, to learn the tools you need to begin the seed starting process along with tips for success from planting seeds to planting your garden. Noelle highlights proper containers, planting, watering, lighting, fertilizing, and maintenance. Enjoy starting your own crops from seeds this year!
