Sansevieria | How to Grow, Care for & Propagate

Video Recap

Likely the most low-light tolerant of all houseplants, Sansevieria not only provide striking architectural flair, they are also super easy to grow. If you have a brown thumb, this is the plant for you! They will impress you with their ability to look fresh despite low light, drought, and neglect. Watch this video with Noelle, Horticulturist and Education Director with Petitti Garden Centers, to learn more about how to grow, care for and propagate Sansevieria. Also known as the Snake Plant or mother-in-Law’s Tongue, these plants have fantastic benefits including their air-purifying ability. These plants will tolerate just about anything you throw at them. They will survive in most light conditions, but we tend to lump them into the “low-light” category because there aren’t many plants available that tolerate those conditions as well as Sansevieria out in between watering and fertilizing on occasion.
