About the Zinnia

Amazing, prolific, pollinator magnets! No matter what size or color of these bright daisies you grow, they perform in sunny containers and garden beds. Newer varieties are very vigorous, producing more buds and blooms right on top of the old, no deadheading required. Many varieties have been bred for even larger flowers and better disease resistance too. Grow them in the cutting garden, dry the blooms, and enjoy these bright colored beauties in shades of red, pink, orange, yellow, white, and sometimes mottled and light green! Care Notes

Grow in sunny areas, well-drained, amended soil or containers. Feed with a slow release fertilizer, Osmocote® or Plant-tone®. Follow label instructions. Repeat flowering, but deadhead periodically to maintain better blooming and a tidy habit. Mulch 2″ to suppress weeds, retain moisture and protect against extremes of soil temperature.
