Unique coloring and mild, less acidic flavor makes the yellow to golden skinned tomatoes very popular. They come in all different shapes and sizes with both determinate (bush-type) and indeterminate (vine-type) varieties available in Angelo’s Farm Market, specifically selected for home growers to be productive, disease resistant, and flavorful. Look for ‘Lemon Boy’ slicer, ‘Sungold’ cherry, and ‘Yellow Pear’.

Plant in sunny, well-drained, nutrient rich soil or containers amended with organic matter like Petitti Planting Mix. Water well after planting; maintain 1” of water once a week throughout the growing season. Feed with a slow release fertilizer, Osmocote® or Garden-tone®. Follow label instructions. Mulch 2″ to suppress weeds, retain moisture and protect against extremes of soil temperature.
