Vinca major 'Variegata'

vinca vine

About the Vinca Vine

Classic trailing, accent plant with light green, oval foliage with creamy-white edges. These annual vines are commonly used in hanging baskets and mixed container gardens for their easy, low maintenance, “spilling” effect. They can be planted as a groundcover in the landscape, but they are not winter hardy. They can be grown as a houseplant too.

Care Notes

Grow in sunny to shady areas, well-drained, amended soil or containers. Feed with a slow release fertilizer, Osmocote® or Plant-tone®. Follow label instructions. Trim if leggy to maintain a tidy habit. Mulch 2″ to suppress weeds, retain moisture and protect against extremes of soil temperature. Grow as a houseplant over winter if desired.
