sugar snap pea ‘sugar sprint’

Angelo’s Farm Market veggies are specifically selected for home growers to be productive, disease resistant, and flavorful. Look for ‘Sugar Sprint’ an early producing, vigorous snap pea that develops 3″ long, extremely tender, sweet, stringless pods that can be eaten fresh from the vine, steamed or stir-fried. Bushy plants grow 2.5′ tall, but are easier to pick and maintain when staked. Maturity: 62 days

Plant in sunny, well-drained, nutrient rich soil or containers amended with organic matter like Petitti Planting Mix. Water well after planting; maintain 1” of water once a week throughout the growing season. Feed with a slow release fertilizer, Osmocote® or Garden-tone®. Follow label instructions. Mulch 2″ to suppress weeds, retain moisture and protect against extremes of soil temperature.
