About the Peanut

Angelo’s Farm Market veggies are specifically selected for home growers to be productive, disease resistant, and flavorful. Get your peanuts! Fresh, fun and easy for any age gardener to grow by watching the yellow flowers bloom signaling the development of the peanut pods growing under the soil. Pick in the fall as frost approaches. Harvest the entire plant and hang it up in the garage to let the peanuts dry on vine. Maturity: 120+ days

Care Notes

Plant in sunny, well-drained, nutrient rich soil or containers amended with organic matter like Petitti Planting Mix. Water well after planting; maintain 1” of water once a week throughout the growing season. Feed with a slow release fertilizer, Osmocote® or Garden-tone®. Follow label instructions. Mulch 2″ to suppress weeds, retain moisture and protect against extremes of soil temperature.
