About the Pak Choi ‘Joi Choi’
Angelo’s Farm Market veggies are specifically selected for home growers to be productive, disease resistant, and flavorful. Look for ‘Joi Choi’, a delectable stir-fry favorite that has a sweet, mild flavor. It produces sturdy bunches of thick white, celery-like stalks topped with deep green, round foliage that is excellent in salads too. Whether its used fresh out of the garden, steamed or cooked it is easy to grow in containers or in a small garden; possessing excellent heat and cold tolerance for two plantings early spring and mid-summer. Maturity: 50 days
Care Notes
Plant in sunny, well-drained, nutrient rich soil or containers amended with organic matter like Petitti Planting Mix. Water well after planting; maintain 1” of water once a week throughout the growing season. Feed with a slow release fertilizer, Osmocote® or Garden-tone®. Follow label instructions. Mulch 2″ to suppress weeds, retain moisture and protect against extremes of soil temperature.
