Planting a Shade Garden with Annuals
Wanting to garden in the shade is a very common interest we hear in Northeast Ohio. It can be challenging at first, but very rewarding when it all comes together. Watch this video with Noelle, Horticulturist, and Education Dorector with Petitti Garden Centers, to learn more about the many options there are for adding annual color to shady spots in your garden. Some of our favorite additions to cool, shady spots in the landscape include Begonia, Coleus, Lysimachia, SunPatiens® and Torenia! One thing to remember with shade gardening, due to tree root competition, watering maintenance may initially be every fiew days, then once a week. Always be sure to water deeply and thoroughly!
