About the English Lavender

English hybrid lavender is a gorgeous grower and very cold hardy forming dense, clumping habits of silvery, grey-green, aromatic leaves and consistently blooming, rich violet-blue flower spikes that are excellent for cutting and dried arrangements. Grow is sunny, well-drained garden beds and containers.


Care Notes

Plant in well-drained, nutrient rich soil amended with organic matter like Petitti Planting Mix. Water well after planting; maintain 1” of water, once a week the first year. Use Plant-tone and Iron-tone in spring or at planting; apply Osmocote in summer. Deadhead spent flowers for neat appearance. Mulch 1-2” to suppress weeds and retain soil moisture. Cut back hard in spring. Divide in spring when necessary.
