About the Coral Bells
Coral bells are not only eye-catching foliage plants available in a rainbow of colors, but also excellent cut flowers, where their stems of tiny white to pink to coral bells make an excellent, long lasting filler in flower arrangements. Newer varieties have been improved by cross breeding with the native, H. villosa, making them very cold hardy, heat resistant, and tolerant of various soil conditions. Coral bell’s mounded habit and maple-like foliage is stunning in spring, summer, and fall in part shade to shady gardens or containers. Shop our online selection of Coral Bells.

Plant in well-drained to moist, nutrient rich soil amended with organic matter like Petitti Planting Mix. Water well after planting; maintain 1” of water, once a week the first year. Use Plant-tone and Iron-tone in spring or at planting; apply Osmocote in summer. Cut back spent flower stems for a neat appearance. Mulch 1-2” to suppress weeds and retain soil moisture.
