About the Beans

Angelo’s Farm Market veggies are specifically selected for home growers to be productive, disease resistant, and flavorful. Look for ‘Yellow ‘n Green Mix’, a colorful blend of green and yellow wax beans, the productive bush bean, ‘Blue Lake’, and the easy to grow pole bean, ‘Kentucky Wonder’. These varieties produce tender, sweet and crisp beans that should be picked often, and served fresh or freeze throughout the growing season; they’ll continue to produce more.

Care Notes

Plant in sunny, well-drained, nutrient rich soil or containers amended with organic matter like Petitti Planting Mix. Water well after planting; maintain 1” of water once a week throughout the growing season. Feed with a slow release fertilizer, Osmocote® or Garden-tone®. Follow label instructions. Mulch 2″ to suppress weeds, retain moisture and protect against extremes of soil temperature. Stake, cage or trellis as needed.
