About the Angelonia, Summer Snapdragon

These bushy, upright plants produces lovely spikes of open-mouthed snapdragon, orchid-like flowers in various shades of blue, pink, purple and white. Angelonia is wonderfully heat, humidity and drought tolerant, making an excellent “thriller” in sunny spots and containers. Flowers are continuously blooming as this plant is self-cleaning. Their foliage is scented and their flowers hold up well in fresh cut arrangements.


Care Notes

Plant in well-drained, amended soil. Water well after planting; maintain 1” of water once a week throughout the growing season. Deadhead to keep the plant tidy and blooming nicely into fall. Excellent self-cleaning annual that is easy maintenance and repeat blooming. Feed with a slow release fertilizer, Osmocote® or Plant-tone®. Follow label instructions. Mulch 2″ to suppress weeds, retain moisture and protect against extremes of soil temperature.
