Prayers From Maria

Each July through September, customers at all ten Petitti locations are encouraged to make a meaningful difference by rounding up their total purchase at checkout. Rounding up is an easy way to contribute, and every cent donated goes directly to Prayers from Maria’s mission: to provide meaningful funding for childhood brain cancer research.

Since 2019, more than $172,000 in total has been raised for Prayers From Maria via Q3 roundup campaigns at Petitti locations: 2019 $30,000 | 2020 $35,000 | 2021 $30,000 | 2022 $27,000 | 2023 $27,500 | 2024 $22,500 | 2025 (in progress)

Since 2014, the Prayers from Maria foundation has been planting Fields of Hope—large sunflower fields inspired by the memory and spirit of Maria McNamara. These show-stopping fields serve to honor courageous children who have battled and are in the midst of battling cancer, while raising awareness about the lack of funding for childhood cancer research.

Visiting the fields is free, but donations are accepted, with 100% of the proceeds going to the Prayers from Maria Children’s Cancer Foundation.
