Orchid Care
Orchids offer a striking beauty that’s unrivaled in the flowering plant world. One of our favorites, and perhaps the easiest to grow, is the Phalaenopsis Orchid! Watch this video with Noelle, Horticulturist and Education Director with Petitti Garden Centers, to learn more about how to be successful with Orchids. In their natural habitat Orchids grow on top of larger trees, absorbing their energy, nutrients and water from the air. This means they love any type of humidity you can offer whether it be through spray misting, humidity trays or being surrounded by other humidity-loving houseplants. Remember, the most common point of failure with Orchids in general is overwatering, so be sure to let their soil dry out in between watering.
