About the Tomatillo ‘Toma Verde’
Angelo’s Farm Market veggies are specifically selected for home growers to be productive, disease resistant, and flavorful. Look for Tomatillo ‘Toma Verde’, the relatives of the ornamental perennial Chinese Lantern producing light green, small, rounded fruits with flattened tops that are ready to harvest when their papery tunic or husk turns a wheat color and splits. This popular addition to salsas and Mexican cuisine is early to mature, but needs to be set out 1-2 weeks later than tomatoes in the garden. Bushy habit needs no staking. Maturity: 60 days
