About the Iris

Petitti’s grows an assortment of Iris including repeat blooming, bearded types with large, showy petals and falls in purple hues, yellow, peach and white. Siberian Iris with grass-like foliage and bushy habit, and many others. Iris are wonderful late spring and early summer bloomer, cut flowers, and possess excellent deer resistance. They are best combined with low mounding perennials that are also great for cut flowers.


Care Notes

Plant in well-drained, dry soil amended with organic matter like Petitti Planting Mix. Water well after planting; maintain 1” of water, once a week the first year. Use Plant-tone and Iron-tone in spring or at planting; apply Osmocote in summer. Mulch 1-2” to suppress weeds and retain soil moisture. Divide in fall when necessary.
