These hardy succulents produce large, 5″ wide, open rosettes of brilliant green to ruby and bronze leaves. Smaller offshoots or “chicks”, that resemble the parent plant, “hen”, can easily be split and grown in separate container gardens and also in dry, rock gardens.

Plant in well-drained, dry soil amended with organic matter like Petitti Planting Mix. Water well after planting; maintain 1” of water, once a week the first year. Use Plant-tone and Iron-tone in spring or at planting; apply Osmocote in summer. Mulch 1-2” to suppress weeds and retain soil moisture. Divide in spring and summer when necessary.
