About the Aluminum Plant

This compact, decorative foliage houseplant possesses dark green, glossy, oval leaves with large, shiny silver spots on a quilted surface. Native to the rainforests and swamps of Vietnam, they prefer temperatures at 60 degrees and above, and make excellent terrarium and dish garden plants. People and pet friendly.


Care Notes

Grow in medium, indirect lighting 6-8’ from a sunny window, middle of a bright room, or in 12-14 hours of fluorescent lighting. Prefers average to warm household temperatures, 60°-70°F. Keep soil evenly moist to slightly dry. Supply extra humidity by setting on a shallow tray of moistened pebbles. Feed with Osmocote or Miracle-Gro April-September.
