About the Dill ‘Fernleaf’

Makes an excellent growing companion to corn, lettuce, cucumber, and tomatoes. Tolerates poor soils. All American Selections Winner in 1992. Part of the Angelo’s Farm Market herbs collection that were specifically selected for home growers to be productive, disease resistant, and flavorful.

Care Notes

Plant in sunny, well-drained, nutrient rich soil or containers amended with organic matter like Petitti Planting Mix. Water well after planting; maintain 1” of water once a week throughout the growing season. Feed with a slow release fertilizer, Osmocote® or Garden-tone®. Follow label instructions. Mulch 2″ to suppress weeds, retain moisture and protect against extremes of soil temperature. Harvest 1/3 of the new, tender foliage in the morning. Harvest seed heads when greenish-brown in color. Dry or freeze extra for future use.
