Late Summer Rose Care

Video Recap

August is the last month you should be feeding your roses, or any flowering plants, in our part of the country (Northeast Ohio) in order to avoid large amounts of frost damage. Watch this video with Noelle, Horticulturist and Education Director with Petitti Garden Centers, to learn more about how to fertilize properly and why this is the right time. We recommend using Espoma Organic Rose Tone®, it is a great slow-release fertilizer that provides long-lasting nutrients for your plants. Apply the recommend amount to the drip line, around the outermost branches of your plant, and enjoy blooms through the fall!
