Video Recap
It’s early March and time to start waking up the garden! Early spring is one of the best times to prune dormant trees since you can see branching structure. Watch this video with Noelle, Horticulturist and Education Director with Petitti Garden Centers, to learn more about how to properly prune dead, diseased and damaged branches in your trees. Noelle also helps identify water sprouts in trees and how to remove them. Water sprouts can typically be removed with hand pruners, but you'll need to get out loppers or a pruning saw for branches larger than 1/2 inch in diameter. As always, we recommend pruning with clean tools in order to keep your tree healthy.
