This gorgeous houseplant/annual is easy to grow in fall through spring indoors appreciating cooler temperatures (55-65 degrees F) and tolerating low winter light levels. The flowers are forced from a tuber producing unique nodding blooms with upturned petals in an array of purple, pink and red shades. The green and silver variegated foliage adds to the plants attraction.

Pruning:
Remove spent flowers and leaves with scissors or gently tug the stems from the bulb. You will see more flowers and foliage forming on the bulb.
Fertilize:
Feed with a liquid blooming plant food once every two weeks when the plant is flowering.
Planting Intructions:
Use well-drained, sterile potting soil in a container with drainage holes.
Can be used in container combinations with other houseplants like Ivy, or can be used outdoors in shade garden containers for late spring/early summer combinations with Pansies, Bellis, and Primrose.
Water:
Water thoroughly when the soil is dry to the touch. You can water from the bottom, having the plant absorb water from a drip tray too. This avoids getting the tuber wet which can lead to rot.
